Phase II is scored on a Total Weighted Score (TWS) out of 100, where TWS = (Paper 1 × 1/3) + (Paper 2 × 2/3). Paper minimums were 30% on Paper 1, 40% on Paper 2 and 50% on TWS.

Unreserved selections finished between 91.67 and 94.00, and the lowest unreserved TWS among them was 79.00 — two marks above the 77.00 cut-off, which is roughly how much the interview stage moved things. The median TWS of all 22, 76.66, sits almost exactly on the unreserved cut-off: half of those selected cleared the bar by a whisker.
Interview marks ran from 3.00 to 15.00 out of 15. That is a twelve-mark swing on a 115-mark total, so the interview is not a formality — but it cannot rescue a weak Phase II.

On the Phase II Total Weighted Score out of 100: 77.00 for unreserved, 75.50 for OBC (NCL), 74.16 for SC, 73.17 for EWS and 71.67 for ST. The Phase I cut-off was uniform across all streams and categories — 30 in Paper 1, 40 in Paper 2 and 80 out of 200 in aggregate.
14,799 candidates sat the IT paper in Phase I on 10 January 2026. 2,229 qualified for Phase II, 2,061 appeared for it, 74 were merit-listed for the interview and 22 were finally selected.
Among the 22 selected in the 2025 cycle, the median Phase II IT paper score was 85.88 out of 100 and the median English score was 58.00. The lowest Total Weighted Score among selected unreserved candidates was 79.00.
