Notification expected date

SEBI has no fixed month. This is every Officer Grade A advertisement since 2020 on SEBI's own Vacancies page, and you can check it yourself.
| Cycle | Advance intimation | Advertisement | IT posts | Streams |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2025 | 8 Oct 2025 | 30 Oct 2025 | Yes, 22 posts | General, Legal, IT, Research, Official Language and Engineering (Electrical and Civil) |
| 2024 | 14 Mar 2024 | 11 Jun 2024 | Yes | General, Legal, IT, Research, Official Language and Engineering (Electrical) |

| 2020 | None listed | 7 Mar 2020 | Yes | General, Legal, IT, Engineering, Research and Official Language |
- No fixed month. Advertisements have come in January, March, June, July and October. A site that says "November" is forecasting, not reporting.
- Watch for the advance intimation. In 2025 it came 22 days before the advertisement, and in 2024 about three months before.
- Short runway. Last cycle had 72 days from advertisement to Phase I, and 42 more to Phase II. Our 60-day study plan fits inside that gap.
Eligibility
SEBI Grade A IT eligibility, and what the October 2026 Gazette changed
SEBI amended its service regulations on 8 October 2026 (F. No. SEBI/LAD-NRO/GN/2026/320), in the Gazette dated 9 October 2026.
| Area | What the Gazette says |
|---|---|

| Grade points, where the university gives no conversion rule | 6.75 on a 10-point scale counts as 60%, and 5.75 counts as 50%. |
| Legal officers | The desirable two years of post-qualification experience as an advocate is removed. |
| Research stream qualifications | The list is rewritten. Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Big Data Analytics stay on it, alongside additions such as Public Policy. |
| Information Technology stream | Not named anywhere in the amendment. The official IT wording remains the 2025 advertisement until SEBI publishes a new one. |

Questions
SEBI Grade A 2026: frequently asked questions
Has the SEBI Grade A 2026 notification been released?
Not as of 4 November 2026. SEBI's Vacancies page lists no Officer Grade A 2026 advertisement or advance intimation. Its newest entry is dated 14 August 2026 and is for a different post.
When is the SEBI Grade A 2026 notification expected?
SEBI has not given a date and it has no fixed month. Its last five advertisements came on 5 January 2022, 14 July 2022, 22 June 2023, 11 June 2024 and 30 October 2025. A month quoted by a website is an estimate and not a SEBI date. In 2024 and 2025 SEBI posted an advance intimation first, so that is the first signal to watch for.
What is the SEBI Grade A 2026 exam date?
Not announced. In the last cycle Phase I came 72 days after the advertisement (10 January 2026), and Phase II 42 days after that (21 February 2026). If the 2026 advertisement comes out late in the year, its exams could fall in 2027.
Is SEBI Grade A 2026 registration open?
No. Registration opens only with the advertisement. Last cycle the window ran from 30 October to 28 November 2025. Be careful with sites showing an 'Apply Now' link: SEBI's Vacancies page shows no open Officer Grade A application.
How many SEBI Grade A IT vacancies are there in 2026?
Not announced. The 2025 cycle had 22 IT posts: 9 UR, 5 OBC (NCL), 4 SC, 2 ST and 2 EWS. IT posts are not guaranteed in every cycle: SEBI's 2023 recruitment was for the Legal stream only.
Does the new 60% graduation rule apply to the SEBI IT stream?
The Gazette of 9 October 2026 brings in the 60% rule (50% for SC/ST/PwBD where posts are reserved for them) for the qualification the 2025 advertisement listed under the General stream. It does not name the IT stream, so only the next advertisement can confirm how IT is treated.
Who is eligible for the SEBI Grade A IT stream?
The 2025 advertisement asked for: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in any branch OR Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with a post graduate qualification (minimum two years' duration) in computer science/ computer application/ information technology from a recognized University / Institute.
What was the age limit for SEBI Grade A?
In the 2025 cycle a candidate must not have exceeded 30 years as on 30 September 2025, with 5 more years for SC/ST and 3 for OBC (NCL). The date for the 2026 cycle has not been announced.
Is 60 days enough to prepare for SEBI Grade A IT?
Last cycle gave 72 days between the advertisement and Phase I, so our 60-day study plan fits inside that gap if you start the day the advertisement appears. Starting before the notification is safer, because SEBI can shorten the gap.
Is the SEBI Grade A 2026 result out?
No. The 2026 cycle has not started. The latest published result is for the 2025 cycle, and our 2025 page has its cut-offs and marks.
What results has The Victory Key had in SEBI Grade A?
In the 2025 cycle, 7 of the 22 IT officers selected were Victory Key students, on our own record of our students.
