SEBI's Vacancies page has no 2027 recruitment, and the 2026 advertisement has not appeared yet. So no 2027 date, vacancy count or syllabus exists. What you do have is time, and that is the real advantage over everyone who starts on notification day.

Your '2027 exam' may be the 2026 cycle
SEBI names a cycle after the year it is advertised, and the exams can fall in the next calendar year.

SEBI has no fixed month, and its 2023 recruitment had no IT posts at all, so plan on fundamentals rather than a predicted date. Every advertisement date since 2020 is on the SEBI Grade A 2026 page.

Will you be eligible for SEBI Grade A IT in 2027?
Only a 2027 advertisement can settle this. These are the official rules that exist today, for planning.

How to use the extra time before SEBI Grade A IT 2027
An early start lets you cover Phase I breadth, work on Phase II for longer, and do both before SEBI announces anything.
Confirm eligibility, then cover the basics
Match your degree to SEBI's IT wording above, then work through the Phase I topics in order of marks.
Run a full plan before the advertisement
Last cycle gave 72 days from advertisement to Phase I. A plan finished early leaves that time for revision and full mocks.
Start the Phase II habits early
Long code-reading sittings and a weekly timed English piece are hard to build in the weeks after Phase I.

Two objective papers of 100 marks each, 60 min and 40 min. The IT paper covers nine areas, with programming the largest at 30. These marks only shortlist.

Has the SEBI Grade A 2027 notification been released?
No. As of 4 November 2026, SEBI's Vacancies page lists no 2027 recruitment, and the 2026 advertisement has not appeared either.
What is the SEBI Grade A 2027 exam date?
Not announced, and SEBI's Vacancies page lists no 2027 date. One thing to keep in mind: the '2025' cycle held its exams in January and February 2026, so if the 2026 advertisement comes late, its exams could also fall in 2027.
When is the SEBI Grade A 2027 notification expected?
SEBI has no fixed month. Its last five advertisements came on 5 January 2022, 14 July 2022, 22 June 2023, 11 June 2024 and 30 October 2025. In 2024 and 2025 it posted an advance intimation first.
How many SEBI Grade A IT vacancies will there be in 2027?
Not known. The 2025 cycle had 22 IT posts. IT posts are not guaranteed in every cycle: SEBI's 2023 recruitment was for the Legal stream only.
Will I be eligible for SEBI Grade A in 2027?
Eligibility will be set by that cycle's advertisement. The latest IT wording, from 2025, is: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in any branch OR Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with a post graduate qualification (minimum two years' duration) in computer science/ computer application/ information technology from a recognized University / Institute.
What age limit should I plan around for 2027?
In the 2025 cycle the limit was 30 years as on 30 September 2025, or born on or after 1 October 1995, with 5 more years for SC/ST and 3 for OBC (NCL). As an illustration only: if SEBI used the same rule with a 30 September 2027 date, that would mean born on or after 1 October 1997. SEBI has announced no such date.
Will the SEBI Grade A syllabus change for 2027?
Nobody outside SEBI can say. The 2025 advertisement is the latest official syllabus. The fundamentals it tests (programming, data structures, algorithms, databases and networking) are safe to start now and useful either way.
When should I start preparing for SEBI Grade A 2027?
Now, if you can. The last advertisement left 72 days to Phase I and 42 more to Phase II, which is too short to learn data structures, algorithms and a descriptive English paper from scratch alongside a job.
